Everyone will remember, the story of the blockade by some chain stores NFC , it was a cold glass of water to the new Apple service, Apple Pay.
This happen because the consortium that owned those stores, known as MCX, wanted to boost its own application called CurrentC payment, so now, we know that their security has been breached.
CurrentC is a paid application that does not integrate any new technology in his services running on NFC, this app allows you to make payments in stores using QR codes.
So it´s clear that the decision to block the NFC services, such as Apple Pay or Google Wallet Pay, was more self-interest than a benefit for users. Even so official sources said, they were taking that decision for customers, claiming to be a choice of secure payment.
Well it seems that security is not so true because the information is that the security of the application was bypassed , with this attack official source of CurrentC said, they only have been able to get the email address of some users.
I doubt of their safety because the information stored in the cloud, do not say that the cloud has no protection, but we talk about servers, sooner or later, if a hacker decide to break that protection later or sooner they will find a way, however Apple Pay information is stored locally on the secure element chip A8, so that security is much higher.
