We have always had many stories about how it was working under Steve Jobs, but until now nobody said about the habits of Tim Cook with the employees. The current CEO of Apple has a reserved life (done well), and the discretion of Apple costs a lot to know about the experience of working in Cupertino with him. Recently an anonymous Apple employee has answered this question on Quora, he said that for some time had weekly meetings with him to discuss the company's revenues. For him, the experience of working with Tim Cook can be described in five points.
- No one knows the details of his business as Tim. And you better know your role in the business.
- Your life is your job. Your work is your life. There is no such thing as work-life balance.
- No time to talk, just some target communications in small doses.
- Charm is for bracelets.
- Build your career through job changes makes you someone who jumps from job to job (read negative). Persistence is the rule.
Other anonymous opinions about Tim agree on the details that he appreciate the job well done better than Steve Jobs, and he doesn´t have a "analyzer" look as everyone assumed. however, he wake up absurdly early and hoped that other coworkers stuck in critical projects do the same:
"That means if you send an email to five o'clock, waiting for a response. And if that response is not forthcoming, he understands that expects more from you."
