The application of Skype for iPhone has been updated to today to bring an interesting collection of news, all focused on making this application a messaging client and more complete video. While Whatsapp seems to show signs of life , the position of Skype is just the opposit, we have two important updates.
Here you have all the new features included in version 5.7 of Skype for iPhone:
- Save and remove photos from the talks.
- Talks load faster, especially when opening from notification.
- Avatars of talks now synchronized between different platforms.
- Improved filter the Contacts list (all contacts, Skype contacts, online contacts).
- We have implemented other general improvements.
It is curiously the effort that Microsoft are putting on getting Skype to be as alternative messaging client for Whatsapp, Line, and certainly they are not doing it wrong. Still, it is difficult in this area where its competitors are already too widespread among users and switching to other platforms it is a little slow.
