In response to potential security threat that allow hackers to steal personal information from users of iPhones and iPads "Masque Attack"
The protection Apple gives us is to block applications identified to prevent further problems, showing to users a message of security, to help customers and warn them before you install potentially malicious software. Although Apple recommends that you should install software via the AppStore to prevent such infections.
But also, you have to take precautions, so we recommend to deny permission to any application that is not trusted. If you think you've been a victim, or just want to check you must do the following:
- If you have iOS 7 you are lucky, it's very simple, you just have to go to Settings \ General \ Profiles. Here will appear any installation of any application that is not part of the AppStore. If you delete all profiles, then problem is removed.
- For those who have iOS8 is more har to do it, because Apple removed the display of the profiles, so you have to download iPhone Configuration Utility. Once you have it, delete data profiles which are not trusted.
- But if you know you have it, and want to remove it completely the best you can do is restore your iPhone to factory.
So you know, be careful when you install third party apps.
