Wirelurker Check if your iOS device is infected WireLurker

As we said before, the infection of a large number of Apple devices, this was caused by a new malware called "WireLurker" which was in a Chinese market application for Mac, "Maiyadi App Store". WireLurker is transmitted to mobile devices via the Mac USB cable.

Although it is very unlikely that your devices have been infected, there is a method to know if your Apple device is infected.

First of all, in order to verify if the device is infected or not by this method, it must be jailbroken, if so, the steps for the test is very simple:

  1. Open iFile or SSH into your iOS device
  2. Go to / Library / MobileSubstrate / DynamicLibraries
  3. If you see a file named "sfbase.dylib" then your device is infected, if you can´t find that file everything is correct.
Remarked that is very complicated that devices outside of the Chinese market are infected, but just in case if anyone is concerned, with this method you can verify easly and stay calm.
